PSAC-Quebec
AFPC-Québec represents more than 65,000 members in sectors as diverse as:
Federal and provincial government departments and agencies
Higher education and research
Private education
Transportation
Entertainment and recreational tourism
PSAC-Québec is affiliated with the Fédération des Travailleurs du Québec (FTQ), the largest federation in Quebec with more than 600,000 members.
The local section
The AFPC-Québec, like the CSN, promotes its local structure, thus offering members the opportunity to actively participate in decision-making concerning union affairs at the local level.
The members gathered in general assembly determine and adopt:
local statutes and regulations
demands and negotiating priorities
Mobilization activities
the local contribution
The members also elect at a general meeting:
Members of the executive committee
Members of the negotiating committee
The delegates
PSAC statutes
grant full autonomy to local chapters, allowing local leaders and members to make whatever decisions they deem necessary.
